Natural variations in shells, colours and craftsmanship are part of each Tropea piece.
International delivery times and customs requirements vary by destination.
Bespoke and larger orders may have different production, cancellation and return conditions.
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Tropea Artistry Bali website and to purchases, enquiries and other transactions made with us.
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and any other policies that apply to your purchase, including our Delivery Information, Privacy Policy and any Returns & Refunds Policy published on our website.
You may use our website for lawful personal or business purposes relating to browsing, purchasing or enquiring about Tropea products.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, access areas without authorisation, introduce malicious software or use our content in a way that infringes our rights or the rights of others.
Tropea products are handcrafted using natural materials, including genuine shells. Because both the materials and production process are natural and handmade, no two pieces will necessarily be completely identical.
Variations in colour, shape, texture, markings, shell placement, dimensions and other small details are part of the character of handmade products and are not automatically considered defects.
We aim to describe and photograph our products as accurately as reasonably possible. However, product colours may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting conditions and the natural characteristics of the materials used.
Measurements are provided as a guide. Because products are handmade, small dimensional differences may occur.
Product prices are displayed on our website in the currency shown at the time of purchase. Prices may change from time to time without prior notice, but changes will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted.
Payment must be completed using a payment method available at checkout. Payment processing may be provided by Shopify or other authorised payment providers.
Your bank, card provider or payment service may apply currency-conversion or other charges that are outside our control.
Submitting an order does not guarantee that we can fulfil it. We may need to review product availability, payment status, delivery details or other information before an order can proceed.
We may contact you if we discover an error, availability issue, suspected fraudulent transaction, delivery restriction or another issue affecting your order.
If we cannot fulfil an order that has already been paid, we will arrange an appropriate refund for the affected item or order.
Our products rely on natural shell materials and artisan production. Availability can therefore vary according to materials, production capacity and demand.
If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we may contact you to discuss an alternative, a revised timeline or cancellation of the affected item.
Selected products may be available for customisation. Custom requests can include changes to size, arrangement or other agreed product details, subject to material availability and production feasibility.
A custom order only becomes confirmed when the relevant specifications, price, payment requirements and estimated production time have been agreed.
Once production of a customised or made-to-order item has begun, cancellation or changes may no longer be possible. Custom items may also have different return conditions, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
We may accept wholesale, trade and larger-volume orders for selected products. Minimum quantities, pricing, payment arrangements and production schedules may differ from standard retail orders.
Wholesale or bulk orders are subject to the quotation and terms agreed for that particular order. Production time commonly depends on product type, quantity, artisan capacity and material availability.
Where specific wholesale terms conflict with these general Terms, the agreed wholesale quotation or written agreement will apply to the extent of that conflict.
Standard retail orders are typically prepared within approximately 3–5 business days before dispatch.
Custom and larger-volume orders may require additional production time. Wholesale production may commonly take approximately 21–60 days, depending on the products, quantities and availability of materials.
Any processing or production time we provide is an estimate rather than a guaranteed completion date unless we specifically agree otherwise in writing.
Orders are shipped from Bali, Indonesia. Available carriers, delivery methods and estimated transit times depend on destination, shipment weight and other logistical factors.
Estimated delivery times are provided as guidance only. Delays may occur because of customs processing, carrier operations, weather, destination-country procedures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, handling charges or other fees imposed by the destination country.
Unless we explicitly state otherwise, these charges are not included in the price paid to Tropea Artistry Bali and are the responsibility of the customer.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order can legally be imported into their destination country.
Some shell-based products or destinations may require export, species or customs documentation. Where documentation is required for a shipment, we will prepare the relevant paperwork available to us before dispatch.
Customs authorities in the destination country remain responsible for their own import decisions, inspections and clearance procedures, and we cannot guarantee that customs processing will be completed within a particular timeframe.
If you wish to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help where the order has not yet entered production, preparation or dispatch.
Once an order has been prepared, dispatched or specifically produced for you, cancellation may no longer be possible.
Custom, personalised and wholesale orders may have separate cancellation conditions agreed as part of the order.
If your order arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, please contact us promptly and provide your order details together with clear photographs of the product and packaging where relevant.
We will review the circumstances and determine the appropriate solution, which may include replacement, repair, refund or another reasonable resolution.
Eligibility for ordinary returns can depend on the product and circumstances. Custom or made-to-order products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
The Tropea Artistry Bali name, logo, website content, product photography, graphics, written content and other original materials are owned by us or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit or use our content or branding without prior permission, except where permitted by law.
You must not use our website or services for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes. This includes attempting unauthorised access, submitting false payment information, interfering with website security, scraping content in a way that disrupts the service or infringing intellectual-property rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tropea Artistry Bali will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations where this results from events outside our reasonable control. These may include natural disasters, severe weather, transport disruption, customs delays, government action, supply shortages, labour disruption, carrier failures or other unforeseen events.
If such an event materially affects your order, we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and find an appropriate way forward.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, products, services, business practices or legal requirements.
The current version will be published on this page together with the applicable Last updated date.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Tropea Artistry Bali in Indonesia, unless mandatory law requires another approach.
If you are purchasing as a consumer in another country, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
