Tropea Artistry Bali connects the beauty of Indonesia's shores with the hands of Bali's artisans. We discover distinctive shell craftsmanship, work closely with local makers and bring their creations to homes around the world.
It Started with Curiosity
In late 2025, we began exploring the remarkable craft communities found across Bali. We travelled from one artisan to another, learning about their work and looking for pieces that felt authentic, distinctive and worth sharing.
We started simply: buying a small selection from artisans we believed in and introducing their work through social media. The response was encouraging. People connected with the craftsmanship, natural materials and character of the pieces.
On 2 May 2026, we decided to take Tropea Artistry Bali further — building stronger relationships with our makers, developing custom possibilities and creating the capacity to fulfil larger orders while keeping the human touch behind every piece.
The Search Begins
Essa and Linda began visiting artisans across Bali, looking for craftsmanship with character and potential.
Our First Pieces
We introduced a small selection through social media and discovered that customers connected with the work.
Tropea Takes Shape
We committed to building Tropea Artistry Bali and expanded into custom requests and larger-scale orders.

Our products are created by artisans across Bali, from younger makers developing their skills to older craftspeople who have spent years working with their hands. Their experience gives every Tropea piece a character that cannot be replicated by mass production.
Shells Shaped by Indonesia
Indonesia is surrounded by an extraordinary variety of seas and coastlines, giving us access to shells with many different shapes, textures and natural tones.
We work with naturally available shells from abundant, non-protected varieties, selecting them for both their beauty and strength. Once a piece is completed by our artisans, it receives a final finishing and quality check before it is prepared for its journey to you.

We are Essa and Linda, the people behind Tropea Artistry Bali. What began as a curiosity about the craftsmanship around us became a way to connect talented Balinese artisans with people who appreciate handmade design.
We stay close to every part of the process — finding makers, selecting pieces, discussing custom requests and preparing each order before it leaves Bali. As Tropea grows, we want to keep that personal connection at the heart of the brand.
